Deepika Padukone Is Back To Shooting Amid 2nd Pregnancy Announcement, Fans Say, ‘Mrs Dhurandhar…’

Bollywood diva, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to embrace parenthood for the second time. The duo welcomed their first child, daughter, Dua, back in 2024. Their recent announcement on April 19, 2026, that they are expecting a second child has sent fans into a state of complete frenzy. However, it is worth noting that her pregnancy has not stopped Deepika from remaining committed to her work. Director, Punit Malhotra was the one who offered fans the first look at Deepika since her pregnancy announcement from a shoot.

In the photo that director, Punit Malhotra shared on his Instagram handle, Deepika Padukone can be seen wearing an elegant white outfit. While her dress was simple, it was her radiating pregnancy glow that caught our eyes the most. On the other hand, Punit could be seen sporting a casual look. Deepika chose not to reveal her baby bump in the photo, leaving some of her fans slightly disappointed. 

To mention, Punit kept mum on the nature of the project that he and Deepika were shooting, leaving everyone wondering whether it was for a film, an advertisement or something else entirely. What Punit mentioned was Deepika’s warmth and professionalism. Praising her, he called the shoot a “10/10” experience and expressed his gratitude for working with the King actress. To quote his exact words, “This shoot? 10/10. No notes! Thank you deepikapadukone for being so warm, gracious and wonderful. Truly grateful! I owe you one.” 

Within moments of Punit sharing his and Deepika’s picture, fans started to flood the comments section. One user wrote, “Mrs Dhurandhar is glowing.” Another fan wrote, “She’s truly wonderful!!!!” A third comment read, “Ufff, Deepika is looking so good.” Another user wrote, “Queen lady superstar.” Another comment referencing Dhurandhar wrote, “Dhurandhar’s real life Yalina.” A user also urged Deepika to make movies like I Hate Luv Storys again.

It was on April 19, 2026, that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced that they were pregnant for the second time. They shared the good news in the most adorable and personalised way. The post shared by the actress gave a rare glimpse at their baby girl, Dua, holding Deepika’s pregnancy test result. As you can already expect, the test featured two red lines, meaning that the result was positive and that Deepika was pregnant with her second child. In the caption, Deepika added two evil eye removal emojis. 

The news of Deepika and Ranveer’s pregnancy announcement not only sparked excitement among fans but also among celebrities alike. Several of their industry friends extended their congratulations in the comments. For the unversed, Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018 in Italy. Their wedding ceremonies honoured both their Konkani and Sindhi traditions. A year later, the couple were blessed with their first child, Dua, in September 2024. However, Deepika and Ranveer chose to keep their daughter out of the public eye and media glare for months. The duo first introduced Dua to their fans who had been eagerly waiting during Diwali 2025. They revealed her name and also shared a few glimpses into their family moments.

Coming to Deepika Padukone’s work front, she is all set to appear in King. In the movie, the actress will be seen starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Deepika is also scheduled to make her Telugu debut with Raaka. Directed by Atlee, the movie will co-star Allu Arjun.
