Deepika Padukone Slams Buzz Of Being Jealous Of Ranveer’s Dhurandhar Success With Second Pregnancy

Ranveer Singh is enjoying the success of his two back-to-back films, Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar. It features an ensemble cast with Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sanjay Dutt, Gaurav Gera and more. With the film winning hearts, Ranveer and Deepika announced the birth of their second child.

In the midst of all the hooh-haa around Ranveer Singh’s success, Deepika Padukone faced a lot of backlash for not appearing during Ranveer’s promotional events, or even sharing any appreciation posts. But the gorgeous couple shut the trolls with an adorable pregnancy announcement.

Deepika Padukone was trolled for not posting about Ranveer Singh’s films’ success 

The second instalment of Dhurandhar has garnered over INR 700 crore within just four days of its release. People went crazy, and Ranveer’s work made a noise across the border. The film is being hailed as a blockbuster, and people across the fraternity showered Ranveer with love. Amidst it, Deepika was targeted by trolls who shared sarcastic memes and claimed that she had not made a single post for Ranveer Singh’s success. Several people criticised her, calling her jealous. Some even went on to wonder if there had been marital trouble between the two. But Deepika silenced the buzz with her pregnancy announcement. 

On April 19, 2026, Deepika and Ranveer announced to the world that their family is growing as they are busy nesting for another little wonder in their life. Taking to Instagram, Deepika shared a rare glimpse of her daughter, Raha, who looks super excited to get promoted to big sister. The little girl was holding her mumma’s pregnancy test result, which had two red lines on it. The post was liked by Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Kiara Advani and many more.

Deepika Padukone had a complicated first pregnancy

Deepika Padukone made starry appearances and attended work events throughout her first pregnancy. She made many question her pregnancy as she would appear in heels with a full-grown baby bump. In an interview with Marie Claire, she remembered details of her baby girl’s arrival and when she held the little bundle of joy for the first time in her arms. Deepika revealed that she had a complicated pregnancy and delivery. Without sharing a lot of details, Deepika stated that she went through a lot in her eighth and ninth month.

Talking about her final trimester, she shared that every body part of her was in pain, and it was uncomfortable, despite the fact that she was doing yoga. She said:

“Suddenly you’re discovering body parts because they hurt. But that rib pain was, oh my God.”

After their daughter’s birth in November, Deepika and Ranveer hosted a small gathering for the media in their building. They even introduced their daughter, Dua, to the photographers and made it look like a family event. Not only this, Deepika and Ranveer requested photographers not to click photos of their daughter. A celebrity photographer, Yogen Shah, expressed in detail about the happiness at seeing Dua. The photographer further revealed that Dua is a perfect blend of her parents, Deepika and Ranveer. When she greeted the pap, she was half asleep. However, there were moments when she fluttered open her tiny eyes. The photographer further revealed how it was an unforgettable experience to see Dua wrapped in her parents’ embrace.
