Actress Deepika Padukone will next be seen in the highly anticipated movie Raaka, starring alongside Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee Kumar. This marks the second collaboration between Deepika and Atlee following their success with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which was a blockbuster hit at the box office.
According to reports, Atlee is currently reworking Deepika’s sequences. She still has 50 days of filming remaining to wrap up her role in Raaka. Rumors suggest that the filmmakers may utilize a body double for intense action scenes to ensure her safety, as she is currently expecting a baby.
A leading portal reported: “Atlee was overjoyed when he heard the news of Deepika’s pregnancy. Instead of panicking about the production schedule, he collaborated with his team to develop a Plan B. Most of the key action sequences featuring Deepika will now be filmed using a body double.”
Previously, the actress has already completed several close-up shots, which will be seamlessly integrated using VFX for the final cut.
Directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures, Raaka is also expected to feature Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur. The film is slated for release in 2027.
