Denise van Outen appeared to defy time when she prepared to reunite with her former Big Breakfast co-presenter, Johnny Vaughan. The pair hosted the Channel 4 morning show in the late 1990s and quickly became a popular double act owing to their on-screen banter and chaotic energy.
The hosts were at loggerheads for years over a pay row dating back to 1999, but finally settled their differences during the coronavirus pandemic. Denise was known for her daring fashion sense a quarter of a century ago – and today, she barely looks any different.
The star slipped into shorts and fishnets before reuniting Johnny on Saturday (October 24) as they performed as DJs together at House V Indie in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Taking to her Instagram story, 52-year-old Denise posed in a beige faux-fur jacket and black leather boots. And it’s safe to say she looks fabulous!
Denise admitted she “feels sexier” than ever in her 50s, which likely explains why she’s been radiating such self-assurance of late.
Her latest ensemble arrived just days after she smouldered in a daring BDSM-inspired dress, which she showcased in snaps from her hotel room.
Advertising Denise and Johnny’s performance, hosts Dunkerton’s Organic Cider announced: “Denise on Team House. Johnny on Team Indie.

The pair took to the stage again the next morning for ‘Sunday Service’, with Dunkerton’s stating: “The duo who turned breakfast telly into a party are back together, live.

The post attracted over 1,300 likes with countless followers gushing over how incredible Denise is looking. One admirer remarked: “Wow that photo is so good.”
Another posted a series of fire emojis, accompanied by the comment: “Stop it Denise.” A third declared: “Gorgeous.” While a fourth said: “Very nice.”
Denise embodies the notion that age is merely a number – and she’s encouraging others to continue wearing bikinis well into their 50s.
“When I was younger, I’d have thought by the time I’m in my fifties I wouldn’t wear a bikini any more, and would opt for a one-piece,” she told the Sun.
“But actually, I love seeing women in mid-life rocking bikinis – because why shouldn’t we? I’m 52 and when I put my bikini on I feel really good.
“I’m surprised because I always thought that as I got older, I’d want to cover up more, but actually I’ve grown in confidence… We care less what people think, and just want to look and feel good.”
She insists she has developed a thicker skin with age, saying she now “cares less” about what people think.
“You’re never going to be everybody’s cup of tea,” she told the Wright at Home podcast. “A cab driver picked me up the other day and said, you’re a right miserable cow. What did you want me to do, a full song and dance?”
