Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell is recovering from a serious neck injury, but his number is well represented among his teammates today.

Several Lions players arrived at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, ahead of the team’s game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 8, wearing Campbell jerseys in tribute to their injured captain. Those players include linebackers Derrick Barnes, Malcolm Rodriguez and K.J. Britt, along with Lions defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard.

Campbell suffered a neck injury in the fourth quarter of the Lions’ 19-15 win over the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday, lying on the Ford Field turf for over 10 minutes following a routine tackle on Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson before being transported to a local hospital. He released a statement on Wednesday saying he had full movement in his lower body, and Lions coach Dan Campbell says the linebacker continues to recover.

The 5-2 Lions face the 1-6 Dolphins at 1 p.m. ET with several defensive starters out, including cornerback D.J. Reed and edge rusher DJ Wonnum. But based on this tribute, it seems Campbell’s absence will be felt the most of all.
