Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh addressed recent online trolling during his tour opener in New Delhi. He talked about his controversial film Satluj (which debuted on ZEE5 and was pulled down in no time), which focuses on human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. The movie faced delays and was removed from a streaming platform shortly after release.
Breaks silence on Satluj controversy
Diljit stated that people should not teach Punjabis how to fight battles. He mentioned that his team fought long and hard to release the project. “The film you stood on stage and mocked. We fought for a very long time for that film. I love all of you because I am an artist, bro. I am being quiet, so let me stay quiet. I support all of you. If someone hates us, no problem. From our side, it’s only love for everyone!” he shared. Co-starring Arjun Rampal, Suvinder Vicky, Kanwaljit Singh, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, and Saurabh Sachdeva, Satluj is directed by Honey Trehan. “Set during Punjab’s turbulent militancy years in the early 1990s, it traces Jaswant Singh Khalra’s transformation from an ordinary citizen into a determined investigator after he uncovers evidence suggesting that thousands of unidentified bodies were secretly cremated following alleged fake encounters and enforced disappearances,” a review by Filmfare mentioned.

Confirms India tour will continue
Despite facing attempts to stop his concerts, he confirmed he will continue his India tour until December 20. He added that as an artist he sends love to everyone, even those who direct hate toward him. Diljit Dosanjh is in India for his Aura India Tour 2026, whose India leg began with a concert in Delhi on October 30.
Diljit Dosanjh moved from Punjabi cinema to Bollywood with a powerful debut in Udta Punjab (2016), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Later on, Hindi films like Phillauri, Soorma, Good Newwz, and Amar Singh Chamkila, established him as a prominent mainstream actor.
