HYDERABAD: District Legal Services Authority secretary A. Sridevi on Friday inspected the Observation Home for Boys and a centre for children in need of care and protection at Saidabad, reviewed facilities and spoke to children about their needs and problems. She asked officials to provide legal aid, welfare schemes and other services available through the government and the Legal Services Authority on time.
Sridevi checked accommodation, food, sanitation, healthcare, education, security, counselling and other basic facilities at the Observation Home. She also spoke to the children about the services they were receiving. She later visited the CNC centre, where she reviewed care provided to children who need protection, including their safety, accommodation, healthcare, education and counselling. “The welfare, protection and rehabilitation of children must be given the highest priority,” Sridevi said.
