
Visakhapatnam: Dr Chittapuli Sravya Deepthi Priya Padal, from Kilagada village in Munchingiputtu mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju district, has secured a coveted MD seat in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry.
She achieved the distinction in her first attempt at the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi, for the July 2026 session.
Daughter of teachers Chittapuli Srinivas Padal and Pujari Krishnakumari, Sravya completed her schooling in Payakaraopeta and Intermediate studies in Visakhapatnam. She qualified in NEET-UG in 2019 and secured admission to Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, where she completed her MBBS in 2025.
Educationists described her achievement as an inspiration for tribal students aspiring to pursue higher education in medicine.
Her family has a strong background in public service. Her cousin, Chittapuli Jhansi Bhai, is ICDS Project Director in ASR district. Her elder sister, Dr Sindhuram Padal, is pursuing higher studies in Orthopaedics, while another sister, Chittapuli Vardhini, is a lawyer and Bar Council member in Visakhapatnam.
Residents of Kilagada village, relatives and well-wishers have congratulated Dr Sravya on her achievement and wished her success in her medical career.
