Hyderabad: The Telangana government has appointed Dr Rahul Devraj, Professor and Head of the Department of Urology at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), as the new Director of the premier medical institution.
According to the government order, Dr Rahul Devraj has been appointed Director of NIMS under Section 17(1) of the NIMS Act, 1989 (Act No. 13 of 1989), for a tenure of three years.
Dr Devraj, a senior urologist and academician, has been serving as Professor and Head of the Urology Department at NIMS. He will now take charge of the institute’s administration, academic affairs and healthcare services as its Director.
