Footage obtained by the Mirror shows EastEnders actor Shane Richie with a vape in a petrol station after repeatedly being told not to smoke by staff. The actor, 62, who is best known for playing Alfie Moon in the BBC soap was filmed arguing with staff at the Tesco petrol station in Harlow, Essex just after 11pm earlier this week – and was arrested and charged for drink driving when police turned up.
The pictures obtained by the Mirror are screengrabs from a video showing Shane walking around the garage’s forecourt with a vape in his hand.
The video shows Shane being told not to vape in the petrol station and was overheard in the video swearing at staff, telling one person to “f*** off” and later telling them “I don’t give a “f***, when told how dangerous smoking a vape was.
After being told to not smoke he is overheard saying: “It’s not smoking. It’s a vape.” At the time, Shane is seen holding up his silver e-cigarette while pointing at a male member of staff telling him “you, you”, and waving him away with his hand.
The male member of staff then informs the BBC actor that he is recording him, saying: “I have to get it on video for the police. That is a vape and that’s a risk in this petrol station.”
But Shane insists that he is not smoking a vape, telling staff “This is not a vape.”
Moments later the manager heard calling the police and informing them of his outlandish behaviour towards them.
The altercation between the staff and the actor occurred when he pulled his car, a white Hyundai, into the petrol station as he claimed he had a flat tyre.

Wearing a red baseball cap, Shane is seen dressed casually in a dark coloured top, a pair of shorts and pair of matching sliders.
After police arrived, he was then arrested for drink-driving and is due in court next month.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a suspected drink driver in the area of Church Langley Way, Harlow, shortly before 11.20pm on Wednesday 29 July.
“On arrival, officers arrested a man. A charge of drink driving has subsequently been authorised against Shane Roche, 62, of Tadworth, Surrey. He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 9 September.”
