Hyderabad/Vijayawada: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched simultaneous raids across 7 locations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Wednesday morning in connection with alleged irregularities in the evaluation of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Group-I Mains examination.

The agency is conducting searches at the residences of two accused in the case- former APPSC Secretary and IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu and CamSign Media Director Madhusudana Rao. The searches are being carried out in Hyderabad as well, at a prominent resort near Mangalagiri, where the answer scripts were allegedly evaluated.
Searches were conducted at PSR Anjaneyulu’s residence in Kasimbowli (Ranga Reddy district), locations in Hyderabad’s Panchavati Colony, Punjagutta, and Neredmet, Alwal’s Venkatapuram, the TrueGrader firm in Secunderabad, and the Hailand Resort near Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh
The ED has intensified its probe into the Group-I evaluation matter, which took place during the previous YSRCP government’s tenure, and registered an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), naming former APPSC Secretary and retired IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu as a prime accused
The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which had earlier probed the case, made the following findings where CamSign Media allegedly retained the Group-I Mains answer scripts for 84 days at a resort near Mangalagiri, instead of following standard evaluation procedures. It is reported that 66 unqualified individuals were allegedly engaged to transfer pre-determined marks onto OMR sheets, without proper CCTV surveillance or oversight. Investigators alleged misappropriation of public funds, including over ₹1.14 crore paid to CamSign Media and ₹1.38 crore paid to other private entities.
A police case was registered by the Suryaraopet police in Vijayawada in April 2025 following the SIT report.
Further details are awaited as the searches continue.
