In a recent interview with Telly Talk India, Eisha Singh was asked to share her take on the dating buzz of Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi. Before entering Lock Upp 2, Harshad and Shivangi shared screen space as a lead pair in the popular TV serial, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4. Inside Lock Upp 2, the audience saw Harshad and Shivangi’s close bond. While they shared the same cell, their fellow contestant Shilpa Shinde once called them ‘love birds’.
TV actress Eisha shared that whenever two people share a very close bond, questions about their equation are bound to arise, and there is nothing new in it. She then explained that if the duo is clear about the equation they share, there is nothing left for the outsiders to question. She added that both Harshad and Shivangi are adults and know what they are doing in their lives. In her words:
“Ye toh kuch naya nahi hai na. Sawal toh har baar uthte hain aur har kisi pe uththe hain. I think jab do logo ko koi issue nahi hai, jab do logo ko apni equation pata hai, toh hum koi nahi hote unpe sawaal karne wale.”

During the grand finale of Lock Upp 2, Shivangi was questioned about her bond with Harshad. She clarified that they are just friends. However, Prince Narula, who was among the 25-member jury, took a dig at Shivangi and Harshad’s bonding and called it ‘nibba nibbi pyaar’. Prince pointed out their gestures like Harshad giving Shivangi his handkerchief as a keepsake, and in return she gave her hair clips. In his words:
“Harshad ka kabhi samajh hi nahi aaya equation hai kya. Bolte ye ho ki aap dost ho par abhi recent aapka jab wo eliminate ho raha tha, aapne bola ki mere aakhri clips hain ye aap le lo aur usne aapko rumaal pakdaya. Ye jaise koi border pe fight karne ja raha hai aur aap aisi situation kar rahe ho. Matlab ye kon karta hai bhai? Ye real life mein nahi hota. Wo action se aise lagta hai ye nibba nibbi wala pyaar chal raha hai.”
Defending herself, Shivangi said that when she gave him her clips, she was only trying to motivate him. In fact, when prodded further and asked if she thinks Harshad’s feelings towards her are ‘platonic’, Shivangi said, ‘No.’ After being evicted from the show, Lock Upp 2, Harshad appeared on Tejasswi Prakash’s chat show, Shut Upp With Tejasswi. During the chat, Tejasswi directly asked Harshad whether he and Shivangi are dating.
In response, the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor said that he loves Shivangi, but they are not dating. He said, “No, we are not. I really love her. But I’m not in love with her. There is a difference.” Harshad Chopda is a TV actor and made his debut with the show, Mamta.
