Billy Evans recently invited social media users on X (formerly Twitter) to ask him questions. Before beginning the “AMA” (ask me anything), Billy added that it needs to be legally permissible. He then went on to spend several hours answering questions that viewers had about the You Can See Everything documentary.
Among Billy’s responses, the one that caught everyone’s eye the most was when a user asked him to dispel “one misconception” about him and Elizabeth that has been raised by the movie. To this, he said, “That I somehow control Liz. Anyone who actually knows her would find that idea hilarious.”
According to him, Elizabeth Holmes is someone who is really independent and strong-willed. Fiercely pushing back at claims that he ever controlled her, Billy said that Elizabeth is his best friend and they are partners in every sense. He added:
“She’s fiercely independent, strong-willed, and my best friend. We are partners in every sense. We challenge each other, disagree, and face the world together. Her closest friends are also some of my closest friends. If I ever mistreated her, they’d have my head.”
When another user questioned him about what Billy misses the most about Elizabeth while she is in prison, he replied, “Everything about her.” Gushing about her, Billy credited her with making him a better person. He confessed that without her, he feels an emptiness that is hard to describe. In his words:
“I miss her presence. Her touch. The way she runs her fingers through my hair. Her patience. She makes me a better person. And without her, I feel an emptiness that’s hard to describe. People often say they need someone when what they really mean is that they want them. I’ve thought a lot about that distinction. I need Liz. She should qualify as a medically necessary prescription.”

During the same Ask Me Anything session, Billy Evans also addressed his infamous nude scene. For the unversed, Billy appeared full frontal in the shower in one of the scenes in the documentary directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim.
The scene started with Billy working out in the gym. Soon, he is shown in the shower at home, where an elongated shot pans to Billy’s body. When he gets out of the shower after wrapping a towel around his waist, he almost bumps into Nathan, who was standing right outside the bathroom. Referring to the scene, an X user asked Billy, “They forced themselves into the shower with you, or they just started filming, and you didn’t tell them to stop?”
Billy replied to the user by sharing an article published by PEOPLE, which quoted sources saying that the nude scene made him feel “violated.” He then simply wrote, “Trust the ‘sources.’”
According to the source quoted by the publication, Billy had only agreed to the shower scene with the understanding that it would be kept PG. The source accused the filmmakers of You Can See Everything of violating Billy’s trust and exploiting that trust for shock value.
