In June 2026, Emilie Kiser sat for a candid interview with Jay Shetty on his podcast, On Purpose Podcast. It was her first ever interview since her son, Trigg’s tragic death. For the unversed, Emilie and Brady lost their 3-year-old son, Trigg, in 2025. The little boy died in the hospital after a drowning incident in Emilie and Brady’s backyard pool. Emilie opened up about how tough it was for her and Brady to overcome the tragic loss. She was quoted as saying:
“We’ve really done our best to grieve together and to talk through every emotion and every feeling. I really give Brady so much empathy and respect. He has allowed me to take out every emotion I’ve had throughout this process, whether it’s on him or talking to him or with other people. I just have so much respect for that, of how much he has let me feel every emotion, and he’s never made me feel bad for it. We are the only two people that can understand at all what the other person is going through.”

While the mishap happened, Brady was at home and was looking after their then-newborn baby, Teddy. Thus, initially Emilie was quite upset with him. During the podcast, she admitted that at one point she also thought of ending her marriage to Brady and was very angry at him in the weeks after Trigg’s tragic death. But she eventually realised that she could have been the one in her husband, Brady’s position and home with the children during the tragic incident. Explaining it further, Emilie said:
“This could have just as easily been me in Brady’s position. Brady was taking care of our newborn child. When I left for dinner that night, he was de-thawing my breast milk, trying to get Teddy settled. That doesn’t excuse anything. It doesn’t excuse what happened. It doesn’t excuse any of the series of events after that. This could have been me. I would so deeply want him to forgive me and to know that I didn’t mean for it to happen. That’s exactly how I feel for Brady. I really just have so much empathy and love for him, and he is so strong. I’m really proud of us, honestly, and how we’ve grieved together.”

On July 3, 2026, Emilie took to her Instagram handle to announce her third pregnancy. She shared a snap showing her baby bump. Along with the wholesome snap, Emilie penned a heartfelt note. She mentioned that the joyous news felt very surreal and has brought a bright light to them during some of their darkest days. At the moment, she requested privacy and expressed her gratitude to fans. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
“We are so grateful and excited to share that we will be welcoming another baby into our family. This news feels very surreal and has already been such a bright light to us during some of our darkest days. As I stated last year, my family’s privacy will always be my priority. Because of that, I’m not sure how much I will be sharing about this pregnancy and the next phase of life, but I appreciate your understanding as I navigate those boundaries. This baby has already brought so much hope and joy into our home, and we are treasuring every moment of it together.”
