AICHI –
Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako visited Ghibli Park in Aichi Prefecture on September 20, touring exhibits that recreate famous scenes from Studio Ghibli films and posing for a photograph with the character No-Face.
On the second day of their visit to Aichi Prefecture, the imperial couple arrived at Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park in Nagakute, where they greeted and interacted with people who had gathered to welcome them.
They then visited Ghibli Park, where director Goro Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli guided them through exhibits recreating memorable scenes from films including Spirited Away.
During the tour, the Emperor and Empress sat beside No-Face in a recreation of a scene from the movie and posed for a photograph taken using the Emperor’s mobile phone.
