VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation (APMSMEDC) has partnered with the Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) to launch an Entrepreneurship Training and Mentoring (ETM) Programme) across the state towards fulfilling AP government’s One Family-One Entrepreneur vision.
The two organisations exchanged the Letter of Intent (LoI) in this regard in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and senior government officials, industry leaders, and stakeholders from the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
APMSMEDC officials said the programme seeks to empower nano and micro entrepreneurs through structured training, mentoring, digital learning and enterprise support initiatives. Under the collaboration, BYST aims to support nearly 10,000 entrepreneurs, while creating a network of around 4,000 trained mentors to provide long-term business guidance and handholding support.
The initiative will include entrepreneurship orientation programmes, digital learning modules, grassroots outreach activities, and mentoring engagements across districts and industrial clusters. The partnership will focus on improving market access, industry linkages, financial literacy, sustainability practices, and digital enablement for emerging entrepreneurs.
Lakshmi Venkataraman Venkatesan, founder and managing trustee of Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust, said mentoring plays a critical role in transforming ideas into sustainable enterprises. She underlined that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to building an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem, particularly for youth, women and underserved communities.
APMSMEDC will facilitate stakeholder convergence, inter-departmental coordination, and mobilisation support for the programme.
