Euphoria has come to an end with the 8th episode of the series. The show ended with the deaths of two of the main characters. While people were waiting for season 3, it was also criticised. One of the characters, ‘Cassie’, was the major gossip point in the series, who was seen as an OFS model. At the end of the show, ‘Cassie’ doubled down on her OnlyFans venture and wanted to help other girls who are growing in the business. 

Amid Euphoria’s ending, Sydney Sweeney took to her IG handle and shared some BTS photos from the series. In one of the photos, she went topless, and that again reignited the conversation about her. Euphoria premiered back in 2019, and it was in 2022, when Sydney Sweeney, in an interview with The Independent, said that there were some moments when ‘Cassie’ would have to be shirtless in the series (although season 3 didn’t arrive during the interview), and if she felt it was not needed, he would tell the same to Sam Levinson.

Sydney Sweeney, in the same interview, revealed that Sam Levinson was really supportive of the same, and whenever she would tell him that it was not necessary, he would be okay with it and take out the scenes. She didn’t feel that Sam was ever trying to get a nude scene from her or trying to push her to do the same, and whenever she didn’t feel like doing the scenes, he never made her do them. Sydney Sweeney could be quoted as saying:

“There are moments where [my character] Cassie was supposed to be shirtless and I would tell Sam, ‘I don’t really think that’s necessary here. He was like, ‘OK, we don’t need it.’ I’ve never felt like Sam has pushed it on me or was trying to get a nude scene into an HBO show. When I didn’t want to do it, he didn’t make me.” She also mentioned an intimacy coordinator on set who acts as her advocate for certain delicate scenes.”

Sydney Sweeney, in the same interview, added that she had some extremely bad experiences in life and in other projects, so much so that, once, she had to scrub herself after certain scenes, feeling utterly disgusted. Sharing the reason, Sydney mentioned that she didn’t at all feel comfortable with her castmates and didn’t feel like her character would be doing it.

Sydney further added that she’s extremely proud of her work in Euphoria, but people don’t talk about the same, because she has some shirtless scenes in the series. The actress went on to add that when she did The White Lotus, everyone went on to praise her; however, the only thing that struck her was why people couldn’t see the depth of her acting in other projects like Euphoria and The Handmaid’s Tale. She could be quoted as saying:

“I’m very proud of my work in ‘Euphoria.’ I thought it was a great performance. But no one talks about it because I got naked. I do ‘The White Lotus’ and all of a sudden critics are paying attention. People are loving me. They’re going, ‘Oh my God, what’s she doing next?’ I was like, ‘Did you not see that in “Euphoria”? Did you not see that in “The Handmaid’s Tale”?’”

Sydney Sweeney is one of the major characters of the series, Euphoria, and she was one of the highest-paid actresses of the show, which was said to be USD 80K to USD 5 million per episode, while her salary started from USD 25K per episode.
