Falcons list 9 players on estimated injury report to begin Week 3

The Atlanta Falcons did not practice on Monday, but they still released a simulated injury report for their Week 3 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Nine players were listed, including quarterbacks Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa.

However, Penix was just named the starting quarterback for Thursday’s prime-time showdown in Green Bay, so we wouldn’t worry about him being listed. Tagovailoa was limited with an oblique injury, but that’s actually an improvement for the veteran QB, who was held out of the last four practices.

Aside from the quarterbacks, the Falcons listed two key players as non-participants on their simulated Monday practice report. Edge rusher Samson Ebukam (hamstring) and cornerback A.J. Terrell (groin) were absent to start Week 3, but we can’t read to much into that since the team didn’t actually practice.

Right tackle Jawaan Taylor, defensive end Brandon Dorlus, tight end Nick Muse and running back Brian Robinson Jr. were listed as limited on Monday. Check out the Falcons’ full estimated injury report below.

The Falcons will look to Penix to lead them out their first win of the season after a brutal 0-2 start. Thursday’s game starts at 8:15 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
