The family of a GP who was found dead at her home say they have been “devastated” by her death.
Police discovered the body of Hannah Cain, known to her patients as Dr Hannah Terry, at her home in Dersingham, Norfolk, on Sunday morning.
“She was kind, generous and loving; a beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie, daughter-in-law and friend,” the 45-year-old’s family said in a statement.
Mark Cain, 45, of Fern Hill in Dersingham, appeared before magistrates in Norwich earlier, accused of her murder.
He did not enter a plea during the hearing and will return before a judge on Thursday.
“We are devastated by the loss of our beautiful Hannah,” the family said.
They added: “We are incredibly proud of the woman she was and of the great care she took of all her patients who knew her as Dr Terry.
“We would ask people to respect our privacy at this difficult time.”
