Steve Sarkisian came out firing in his postgame press conference after Texas managed to beat Missouri on Saturday, but not all fans are buying his claims.
Sarkisian appeared to suggest that his team wasn’t expected to win, but fans didn’t agree. One fan said, “You were favored and have twice the payroll.”

Sarkisian made it clear how he felt about the outside noise, insisting his team wasn’t expected to win.
“Nobody believed we’d win the game. Nobody thought we were going to come here and win the game; nobody thought we were tough enough at the line of scrimmage. Everybody thought we’d get pushed around,” Sarkisian had said in his postgame media address, leading to fans reacting.
Sark wasn’t done however, and used more of his time explaining what Texas had done right.
Sarkisian Had Even More Receipts Ready
Steve Sarkisian aimed at the haters, not only saying his team wasn’t expected to win but also pointing to his team’s successes this season.

“A tough win on the road against another top 20 opponent,” Sarkisian also said via CJ Vogel’s X. “I think that’s six straight top 25 wins for us; I think the next closest team in the country has two. And our second top-25 win on the road. Like we say all the time, we’re big game hunters. And we showed up again today.”
The win was much needed for the Longhorns, but it doesn’t get any easier from here, with a game against LSU next week.
