Fawlty Towers will go down in history as one of the most iconic comedy series ever. Sadly, however, we have already had to say goodbye to a number of the cast which burst onto the scene in the ’70s.
Despite being so adored, the sitcom only ran for four years, with just the two series ever created. With so many memorable scenes, you’d be forgiven for thinking there is a lot more content out there.
But in total, there was only ever 12 episodes created over the short span. But that doesn’t make the John Cleese-led show any less iconic. Sadly, it was recently confirmed that Claire Nielson, a key part in the hilarious Waldorf Salad episode, had died at the age of 89.
