She previously gained attention for distributed meals and aiding those in need, even committing 10 percent of her earnings to charitable causes. Jahnavi revealed that videos of her community service attracted the attention of JDS party leaders.
Before committing to JDS, she had also received a political offer from the BJP. She took time to balance her film career with her desire to serve the public before making a final decision. Jahnavi now aims to focus her efforts on meaningful social work through her new political platform.
