NELLORE: Markapuram district SP V. Harshavardhan Raju on Monday laid the foundation stone for a new petrol bunk on the premises of Pamuru police station to strengthen police welfare and ensure timely fuel availability for police vehicles.
The facility is being established by the district police welfare wing in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). The SP said the bunk would cater to police vehicles and personnel as well as the general public.
He said the facility would ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to police vehicles, enabling them to respond quickly to emergencies and maintain law and order effectively.
The SP directed officials to complete the construction within the stipulated time while adhering to quality standards. He thanked IOCL and other government departments for their cooperation.
Senior police officials and personnel from the Kanigiri and Pamuru sub-divisions attended the foundation-laying ceremony.
