Four IPM Staff Suspended For Dereliction of Duty

Vijayawada: Four employees of the Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) in Mangalagiri have been placed under suspension on charges of dereliction of duty.

Health commissioner and IPM in-charge director G. Veerapandian issued the suspension orders on Friday and warned of strict action against staff who fail to discharge their duties promptly.

The suspended employees are D. Sirisha, office superintendent, and G. Akhil, Sangeetha Rao and J. Sujatha, all senior assistants. Sirisha was suspended for taking unauthorised leave and for failing to process financial benefits for a retired employee, while the other three were suspended for dereliction of duty and related charges.

The action follows an inquiry ordered by minister for health Satya Kumar Yadav. Based on the findings, the health commissioner issued the suspension orders.
