Kylian Mbappe only does his talking on the pitch and is famously guarded when it comes to his lovelife. The Real Madrid megastar is making quite the noise at the World Cup having already banged in eight goals for France ahead of tonight’s semi-final with Spain.
However, he goes very quiet when it comes to his private life as he prefers to keep his relationships underwraps – and firmly out of the spotlight. But the French forward is said to be getting it right on and off the pitch.
He reportedly dating Spanish model and actress Ester Exposito, who shot to fame in 2018 when she played the scheming student Carla Roson Caleruega in the Netflix thriller Elite.
Fans might also recognise her as Lili from the 2024 action adventure heist Bandido on Apple TV, and she previously portrayed Cayetana Aldama in the three-part 2020 thriller Someone Has to Die.
Her talents certainly aren’t limited to acting and she has also modelled, collaborating with top fashion brands like YSL Beauty and Dolce & Gabbana. She is now also a global ambassador for the Barcelona-based fashion brand Disgual.
Ester and the footballer haven’t officially announced their relationship, they have subtly been showing support for each other on social media. Reports of the star was having dinner with the Madrid-born beauty grabbed headlines in late February.
A photo at the time allegedly showed the couple kissing on the rooftop of the highly exclusive Pullman Madrid Hotel and went viral. Neither of them has publicly confirmed the relationship as of yet.
They pretty much gave the game away during his injury lay-off earlier this year, and were seen being very affectionate on a holiday together. She was previously linked with his team-mate Vinicius Junior.
In 2024, she and the Brazilian winger were spotted together at a Travis Scott concert in Madrid, enjoying the show in a VIP area. Vinicius Jr’s small gestures online, like reacting with a heart emoji to her posts, further fuelled speculation of a potential spark.
However, she later clarified that there was no romantic relationship, insisting it had just been friendly.
Kylian has been linked to a number of stunning women throughout the years but has never spoken openly about any romantic relationship. There were claimed he and Belgian model Rose Bertram were an item, again that was never confirmed or denied.
It is also thought Mbappe dated social media model Georgia May Heath who is now dating former Paris Saint-Germain footballer Manuel Ugarte, now and Manchester United.
He may not have much to say to us, but Kylian’s mum did speak a few years ago. Fayza Lamari was asked about her son’s dating life by French publication L’Équipe and she said: “He’ll never be certain. I asked him recently if he had a girlfriend.
“He replied, ‘Do you see a girlfriend in this mess?’ It’s complicated being Kylian Mbappe’s girlfriend, with everything that entails. He’s already had relationships, and it’s not easy for either of them.”
France, the two-time world champions, face Spain in Dallas tonight with a place in the World Cup final at stake, where England or Argentina await.
Mbappe was withdrawn in the second half of France’s quarter-final but is expected to be fit to start on Tuesday despite a minor ankle sprain.
Didier Deschamps, in his final tournament, will take charge of his 26th World Cup match to surpass Helmut Schon’s record. France have also won each of their last four World Cup semi-finals, the last three without conceding, and beat Spain 3-1 in their only previous World Cup meeting.
