Frankie Muniz has been forced to delete a post about his divorce amid fan backlash as he tried to explain that he and Paige Price are set to end their marriage

Frankie Muniz deleted theoriginal post about his divorce. The actor-turned-racecar driver, 40, who shot to fame when he took on the title role of Malcolm in the Middle as a teenager, recently took to social media to announce that he and Paige Price are splitting after six years of marriage.

But his candid post came after another one, which featured the family dancing, and his followers were not too impressed with the way he had decided to approach things. Paige, who has five-year-old Mauz with Frankie, was one of the first to defend him amid the backlash.

She wrote: “Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you. This world so f*****! Divorce is bad, sure – but we’re two adults, it’s not like we’re excited about it but we’re two adults who know how to be on the same team. I can’t believe people would scrutinize that.”

Other fans also weighed into the new social media post, with one writing: “I’m glad I got to see the first one right before it disappeared. It was so cute.”

Another said: “I liked the first announcement better with you guys dancing [crying emoji],” whilst a third said: “I thought the video was very sweet and hopeful. You guys are a great family no matter what and will alwasy be family [heart emoji] hugs!”

Frankie’s initial post featured him and Paige, 33, dancing to We The King’s 2007 track, Check Yes, Juliet, with their son. The video was taken in aerial style view as we see the three dancing jubilantly from above. Alongside the post, he wrote: “Who says you can’t stay best friends with your Baby Momma?”

He then posted a lengthy statement to X, which he also shared alongside the new post. He wrote: “Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage.

“After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents. We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared.

“I’m endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she’s done for me and our family. She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter.

“That foundation of respect and friendship isn’t going anywhere. We’re excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to co-parent our boy with the same teamwork and love we’ve always had.

“We’re closing one chapter with gratitude and opening the next with bright futures ahead, for us as individuals and especially for our son. Thank you for the love and support. We both choose to not entertain any questions on this matter. Please respect our families privacy during this time.”
