Freddy Brazier has admitted he’s still “in love” with the mother of his daughter. The son of Jeff Brazier and Jade Goody, 21, has endured a turbulent relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Holly Swinburn, 22.

The couple announced their relationship in June of last year, and just two months ago, they welcomed their first child, Isla Jade, who is named after Freddy’s late mother. But over the course of their relationship, the pair have been plagued by turbulence, with several splits before rekindling their romance.

And now, in a new interview, Freddy has opened up about their split and admits he’s still in love with Holly. But one thing is guaranteed – Freddy will not be looking for love any time soon.

“Yes, I’m single, single, but I’m a dad,” Freddy said. He went on to tell The Sun: “I don’t want to be with people, I don’t want to chat to people and entertain loads of girls, and things.”

Freddy continued: “It doesn’t bother me anymore. Now that I’ve got a little girl, I feel like I respect women a little bit more, and I’m still in love with my baby’s mother. I care about her a lot.”

In recent years, Freddy’s family life has made the headlines due to a rift between his father and his maternal grandmother, Jackiey Budden. Jeff threatened legal action to prevent Budden from seeing her grandson, fearing she was a bad influence.

But while Jeff and Freddy’s own relationship hit a rough patch, the young model now says he is giving back to his dad for everything his dad has done for him.

Freddy’s new admission comes just days after he revealed to the Mirror that baby Isla Jade has the same eyes as his mother. He said: “It’s so lovely. She’s definitely got mum’s eyes, but I can see her mum in there, me, my dad, too.” Freddy was just four years old when Jade died of cervical cancer on Mother’s Day in 2009.

Reflecting on his new life, he added: “Fatherhood’s definitely changed me. I’ve grown up – well, a little bit. Isla’s only a few months old, she’s too small, she just makes cute little noises – but I’ll definitely talk to her about mum when she gets older and understands more.”

As for his dad, Jeff, with whom Freddy took part in the Celebrity Race Across the World in 2024, he says he may be a young grandad at 47, but he’s a total natural. “He absolutely loves it. Every second of it. Yeah, I’ll definitely see dad this Sunday and make a fuss of him!”

After years of working on himself, Freddy has since partnered up with mental health charity Mind and “loves” what the organisation stands for.

He said: “It’s really hard. But I don’t think it’s because I come from a family that’s in the public eye. I’ve just developed very bad coping mechanisms over the years, not dealt with my issues in the correct way. Now that I’m a dad, I’m fighting against those.

“I’m doing therapy – a lot of therapy. I’m staying healthy by exercising, getting out into the fresh air and walking – I’m walking, all the time!”
