Reality TV star Freddy Brazier’s ex-girlfriend has claimed that she has had his pocket bully dog rehomed after he was left needing hospital treatment when it bit him
Freddy Brazier’s ex-girlfriend has claimed she helped save his beloved dog Pablo from being put down after the pocket bully attacked both the TV star and his grandmother Jackiey Budden. The 21-year-old was left needing hospital treatment after the dog bit into his arm, while his grandmother Jackiey, 69, was also injured in a separate attack.
Following the incidents, Pablo was seized by police amid fears the dog could be destroyed. However, Freddy’s former partner Holly Swinburn has now revealed the dog has been rehomed and says he is settling into a new life away from the reality star.
Holly, who shares four-month-old daughter Isla Jade with Freddy, explained that her mum stepped in to find Pablo a new owner after learning time was running out. She said: “He will have a good life. Jeff messaged me that Pablo was going to be put down if we didn’t find a suitable home for him.”
She added to The Sun: “I can’t have him because I have a baby. Mum managed to find him a new home with her neighbour. He has had his micro-chip changed so he officially belongs to a new owner. He is happy and healthy and will have a good life away from Freddy. I hope he never sees him again.”
The update comes after Freddy was spotted walking around London last week with his arm heavily bandaged after undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the terrifying attack. Freddy was left with a 3cm wound in his right arm after Pablo turned on him.
The attack came just hours after the dog had reportedly bitten Jackiey for a second time. Just days earlier, on July 16, neighbours are said to have raised the alarm after hearing Jackiey’s screams during an earlier incident involving the crossbreed.
At the time, it was reported that Freddy had been given seven days to make a case to save Pablo and find him a suitable place to live. A friend said: “Freddy had seven days to make a case to save Pablo from death and find him somewhere to stay.
“He has done that and he has now been assured that the dog won’t be destroyed. What happened was shocking and very sad, but Freddy knows Pablo isn’t a bad dog.
“He was told a urine infection could have altered his behaviour, and he has not been violent before. For now, Freddy has arranged to have Pablo taken by a specialist trainer who will care for him and get him back to his best before they work out what to do next. Freddy is absolutely elated.”
Speaking after the attack, Freddy made an emotional plea as he admitted he feared Pablo would lose his life after being seized by police. Recalling the terrifying ordeal, Freddy said: “I’ve taken him out of the house. I’ve calmed him down. I’m going: ‘Sorry boy I know it’s been so long. I love you. I’ve missed you.’
“I’m scratching his back, but then he hooked on to my arm. The dog was hanging off me. I couldn’t feel anything in my right arm. But then I saw blood coming out of my tracksuit.”
Despite everything that happened, the reality star made clear just how much Pablo means to him. He said: “I have never seen him as my dog, he’s like my son.”
