Claire Kittle’s walk at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show last month was truly a dream come true for George Kittle’s wife.
In a carousel of photos Claire shared to her Instagram page on Tuesday, she revealed she had actually attempted to be a part of the SI event nearly a decade ago — before her Niners star husband had made his first-ever Pro Bowl in San Francisco.
“The last slide is what I posted in 2018 after I stood in line for the first @si_swimsuit search,” she wrote. “Young Claire knew what she wanted to be, the stars just didn’t quite align for her… yet. Always believe in yourself, there is no greater power. I wouldn’t change my story or timeline for a second, I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. 💛
“Just because someone else is doing it now, doesn’t mean that can’t be you in the future.”
In the throwback snap, Claire sported a bright yellow one-piece and some white sunglasses as she walked through ankle-deep Miami waters.
Nearly eight years after the pic was taken, Claire was officially selected to be a part of the SI team when she and several other NFL WAGs posed for a digital SI Swimsuit Issue cover ahead of Super Bowl 60 in February.
On May 30, she walked in the mag’s famed runway show in Miami, and in her Tuesday post, she shared a gold suit she donned on the catwalk was arguably her favorite.
“This leather suit made me feel like Wonder Woman ✨👸🏻,” she wrote.
George hasn’t been shy about supporting his college sweetheart partner while she accomplished one of her biggest goals — a day after she walked the runway, he penned a heartfelt note to her.
“Miami was hot, but you’re the hottest,” he said. “🥵 shoutout to MYYY WIIIIFE for being like that! Congrats on your first walk my love. Thank you to @si_swimsuit for taking care of her and highlighting how amazing she is. How fun. Im so proud!! I’m still smiling 😁❤️”
