“I’d be very, very sad. We are getting up there in age. Unfortunately, when you get married, you always believe you’re going to be the old people sitting on the bark bench…but we didn’t get there.”

The Oscar-winning film editor passed away on May 27, 2026, at her home in Rancho Mirage, California, as per the statement. They recalled her as being a pioneering figure among women in the field of film editing. According to them, her work will serve as a blueprint for future generations to come. The exact words of the statement were:
