
Hyderabad: Girls outshined boys in the intermediate results released in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Education Minister Nara Lokesh released the results.
As many as 231917 girls appeared for the intermediate second-year exams. Of them, 196012 registered a pass percentage of 85. Around 214620 boys appeared for the exam. Of them, 163804 passed, registering a pass percentage of 76.
Around 242956 girls appeared for the first year exam and of them 195667 passed registering a pass percentage of 81. Similarly, as many as 228908 boys appeared for the exam. Of them, 165859 passed, registering a pass percentage of 72.
In all, 446537 students appeared for the second year exam across the State. Of them, 359816 passed, registering a pass percentage of 81. Around 471864 students appeared for the first year exam and of them 361526 students passed, registering a pass percentage of 77.
Officials said all efforts have been made for correct valuation of answer books in all aspects. However, there is a provision for first and second year candidates to apply for recounting and supply of scanned copy cum re-verification of valued answer scripts.
The dates for applying for RC and RV are from April 20 to 27. The supplementary theory examinations will be held from May 21 to June 4 in two sessions from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
