Gisele Bundchen Looks Back At Her Marriage To Tom Brady, Says Boston Life Changed Things, ‘I Felt..’

Before Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen went through a high-profile divorce, they lived a quiet life in Boston. The supermodel recently sat down for candid conversations and reflected on that chapter of her life. In fact, she explained that stepping away from the fast-paced world of fashion helped her find a new balance and inner peace. Gisele recently tied the knot for the second time with Joaquim Valente.

Gisele Bundchen recalls her private life in Boston during her marriage to Tom Brady

Gisele Bundchen recently sat down for an interview with a magazine and shared that moving to Boston brought a major change to her perspective on life. She recalled that, as a model, she had spent years travelling the world and had given a nod to every career opportunity that came her way. But the move to Boston allowed her to slow down and focus on what mattered in life. For those unaware, Gisele spent a long time in Boston during her marriage to Tom Brady. The couple stayed there while the star quarterback played for the New England Patriots. In her words:

“Over time, I began to understand the importance of finding balance. My spiritual practice helped me become more present and more connected to myself. Instead of focusing on external expectations, I started paying attention to how I felt internally. That changed everything — not only my work, but also the way I experienced life.”

Further, Gisele explained that living away from the spotlight helped her to understand the importance of balance and being present in the moment. The 45-year-old model also credited her spiritual practices for helping her to reconnect with herself. According to the supermodel, she gradually stopped focusing on the exterior expectations and began to focus on her well-being. In turn, it proved to be a life-changing decision for her, transforming her career and her views on daily life. Although Gisele admitted she could not fully adjust to the city’s cold weather, she once said she stayed because of her love for Tom.

Earlier in a 2018 interview, she joked that she would rather live barefoot in a forest somewhere. But, she still stayed in Boston because it was home to her husband and their children. Eventually, the former couple moved to Florida in 2020 when Tom joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, Gisele has often spoken about the good memories she made in New England. Just before their move, she shared an emotional Instagram post expressing her gratitude for Boston. Especially, because the city gave her friendships, memories and lots of family moments.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady were once considered among the most successful celebrity couples. But they shocked the world when they announced their divorce in October 2022, after 13 years of marriage. Reportedly, the couple realised that their personal goals and priorities no longer aligned. In her previous interviews, Gisele had mentioned that no single reason caused the separation. But it was a result of them growing in different directions. Some insiders also link it to his decision to return to the NFL after briefly retiring in 2022. Meanwhile, the couple continue to co-parent their kids, Benjamin and Vivian.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen first met through a blind date set up by their friends. Eventually, they began to date in late 2006. Both of them admitted they felt an instant connection. However, things were not easy because soon Tom Brady’s ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, announced that she was pregnant with his child.

Still, they worked through the situation and continued to build a future together. Later, the duo got married in a low-key ceremony in February 2009 and held a larger wedding in Costa Rica. In turn, they became one of the most popular power couples in the next decade, where Tom succeeded in football, and Gisele found global success in the fashion industry.
