After Giant claimed he was axed from Gladiators allegedly over his girlfriend’s steamy content on the subscription site, his ex-wife says his relationship news was ‘hurtful and painful’
It’s not just Gladiator’s bosses who were left blindsided by Giant’s new OnlyFans girlfriend – his wife Katie Christian says she was, too.
The super-fit 40-year-old, real name Jamie Bigg, has gone public with content creator Taylor Ryan, 28. Last week, Giant’s exit from the show was announced and the athlete says that he was “shocked and disappointed” by the decision, which he directly linked to his partner’s work.
Jamie and Katie left friends and family surprised when they split at the end of 2025 after 13 years of marriage. The decision was put down to the pressures of fame and his demanding bodybuilding lifestyle but she has taken to Instagram to discuss her ex moving on.
She is clearly fuming and wrote: “Finding out about a new relationship so soon has been a shock. It’s hurtful and it’s painful to take in, especially as I’m still processing the breakdown of my marriage of 13 years. We’re not even divorced yet, which makes this even harder to sit with.”
The 6ft 5in star from Derbyshire has been on Gladiators since the show made a comeback in 2024. But he time is over – and he thinks he knows why. Jamie has spoken to The Mirror and detailed his exit and says he and Taylor want to start a family together.
Giant, who shares two children with Katie, said: “After three incredible seasons on Gladiators, I was shocked and disappointed to learn that I wouldn’t be returning to the show for season four. This news followed shortly after I had shared plans to go public with my relationship.
“My partner, Taylor, is someone I’m incredibly proud of. While she is known for her work on OnlyFans, that is just one part of what she does, a business-minded entrepreneur, someone who dedicates her time to fostering dogs and genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Her values align closely with my own.
“During conversations with the BBC, ‘child safeguarding’ was raised, something I take extremely seriously, especially as a father and role model. I want to be clear that I have always upheld the standards expected of me, both professionally and personally. Being a positive role model has always been central to who I am, on and off screen. I stand by my values, and I stand by the people I love.
“Looking ahead to building a future and starting a family together, this has been a difficult decision to process. I’ve always been fully committed to Gladiators, and I remain grateful for the opportunities and support I’ve received. I hope to speak more on this in time.”
The Mirror reached out to the BBC for comment. A Gladiators spokesperson had previously said: “After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators. We’d like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future.”
