Gnaneshwari Case: Pet Dog Dies During Treatment

The pet dog, considered crucial in the three-year-old Gnaneshwari missing case, suddenly died during treatment leading to more suspicions.

On June 6, Gnaneshwari went missing near her house in Tuni prompting police to launch a massive search operation. The family’s pet dog also disappeared on the same day, making police assume that it went along with Gnaneshwari.

Three days later, the dog returned home and since then the pet animal has been behaving in an abnormal way. Soon Gnaneshwari’s family alerted the police, who fitted a GPS tracker to it.

Police observed the dog’s movements to obtain clues to trace Gnaneshwari.

However, the dog’s health condition deteriorated in the last couple of days and the veterinary doctors provided treatment. Last night, the doctors administered an injection but there has been no improvement in its health. After a few hours of administering the injection, the dog died, leaving the police disappointed as they hoped the pet animal would lead to a breakthrough.

Police are investigating the case to find if the toddler was kidnapped. They had questioned the family members, neighbours and examined the CCTV footage for potential clues.
