A Google Earth image captured a mysterious mass in Scotland’s Loch Ness, sparking one tourist to conclude it’s a “little family” of Nessies.
Julie Fraser made the discovery of the three mysterious figures from space last week, and has reported the images to The Official Loch Ness Sightings Register — and is awaiting confirmation as to whether this is now the 17th “confirmed” sighting of the legendary beast made this year, the Inverness Courier reported.
“I’m planning a visit to Inverness later in the year and was just playing [with Google Earth] when I spotted the three objects,” she told the outlet.
“Taking a closer look and enlarging the images — they don’t look like boats, and look like whales or something similar with an arc to their back,” she explained.
Fraser points to the photo depicting no V-shaped trail behind the three shapes, unlike a nearby image of a pleasure boat cutting across the loch, a detail she believes rules out a passing vessel.
She also pointed to a 2026 timestamp embedded in the imagery, along with trees still in full leaf, as signs that the footage is recent.
“I’m not a crank,” Fraser professed.
“I’m not as familiar as probably local people but it definitely looks like something significant to me,” she added.
The Official Loch Ness Sightings Register has since reached out to Fraser and confirmed it’s reviewing the images, she said.
“The thought of a little family of Nessies is so exciting,” Fraser quipped.
If confirmed, her find would mark the third sighting logged digitally since January, part of a banner year for the legendary beast that has already produced 14 in-person encounters and two additional webcam-based sightings, according to the official register.
