Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Gemini has surpassed 1 billion monthly active users.
In a post on X, Pichai said Gemini is Google’s fastest-growing product ever and the company’s 14th product to reach the 1 billion-user milestone.
According to Google, 63% of users now interact with Gemini directly using its voice feature, while the AI assistant generates more than 150 million images every day.
Google also said it has more than 100 million active users on iOS, while macOS power users “prompt around two times more frequently than other surfaces.”
Gemini’s user base has grown rapidly in recent years. Google reported 400 million monthly active users in May 2025 and later reported 950 million users in late July 2026 during its Q2 2026 earnings call.
