Hyderabad:The state government on Friday sanctioned Rs 50 crore for developing drinking water infrastructure in six newly developed colonies in Bandlaguda of Chandrayanguta Assembly constituency.
The works, as per an order issued by metropolitan area and urban development department, include construction of 2.5-million litre capacity elevated level storage reservoir (ELSR) with a 15-metre staging, chlorine room at Lake View Colony along with laying of a 400-mm diameter pumping inlet main from Mailardevpally.
The project also includes construction of a similiar capacity ELSR at the existing Balapur campus along with 400 mm diameter pumping inlet main from existing pump house and a 500-mm diameter outlet main from to the existing water supply distribution network at Balapur and Hafeezbabanagar.
A similar facility has been approved for Krishna Reddynagar, near the Hanuman temple area. The works include laying of 400 mm diameter pumping inlet main from Chandrayangutta.
