Killer mom dialed 911 after murdering her husband and son
As per reports, the Pennsylvania mom who was charged with double homicide is Metallica Rose Harrison, aged 27. According to an affidavit obtained by WNEP, Metallica dialed 911 on October 12, 2026, to allegedly admit to murdering her husband, Charles Harrison, and their 3-year-old son, identified only by his initials, T.H. After killing them, Metallica tried to commit suicide.
When police arrived at Poconos Great Wolf Lodge, they found the accused mom with cuts on her wrist and injuries on her neck. According to cops, Metallica told them that she was ‘suicidal, not stupid.’ There were multiple stab wounds on the chests of Charles and the 3-year-old son. Metallica said:
“My husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room. They’re already gone, I’m sorry.”
According to the police affidavit, when the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) treated Metallica, she told them how she worked hard every day to be the best wife and best mom. The killer mom shared that she always dreamed of having a happy family, since she was a child. She said:
“To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife. It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child.”
While Metallica was in the ambulance, she repeatedly said she was ‘not supposed to be here’. She asked EMS personnel how deep her wrist vein was so she knew for ‘next time’. She also expressed frustration that her blood clotted despite her taking blood thinners.

According to reports, cops found the bodies of Charles Harrison and his 3-year-old son in room 2030 inside Great Wolf Lodge. Police were called to the resort in Scotrun, Pennsylvania, shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, because Metallica reportedly called for help, saying she wanted to die. She lived in Towanda, Pennsylvania, which is about a two-hour drive from the resort. According to the police report, she had injured herself but was unable to find a vein in her neck to kill herself.
When the cops entered Room 2030, they found the father and son lying dead on mattresses with multiple stab wounds to the chest. As per police reports, a butcher knife was found on the bathroom floor and a smaller knife in the bathroom sink. They also found several suspected containers of blood and multiple bottles of medication.
Metallica and her family first checked in at Great Wolf Lodge on September 21, 2026, and extended their reservation on October 5, 2026. She is currently in police custody. Previously, she was taken to a hospital in Stroudsburg, a nearby town, because she had cuts on her left wrist and small stab wounds on her neck.
