Jordan Love fell nine spots to 26th in Nick Shook’s weekly quarterback rankings for NFL.com entering Week 4, landing in Tier 5. The Green Bay Packers spent the same week signing three veteran offensive linemen.
Kevin Zeitler, Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton arrived after a 35-14 home loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 24. Green Bay ran nine times for 17 yards that night. Love threw 53 passes.

Through three games, Love has thrown for 844 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions, according to NFL.com. He has completed 52.4% of his passes. He has zero rushing yards and has fumbled four times.
Against Atlanta, he went 28-of-53 for 312 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
“We got behind tonight and it didn’t look good,” Love said after the game.
Pass protection is the first thing Green Bay has to fix, from picking up the right rushers to sustaining blocks long enough for Love to work through a read. He made that case Wednesday as the Packers prepared for Tampa Bay.

“Playing quarterback, obviously, you always need time,” Love said.
Running back Josh Jacobs remains on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list, Packers News reported. Green Bay ranks last in the league in run-play rate this season, according to the same report.
LaFleur said Monday that the fix also falls on him as the play-caller, with a steadier commitment to the run even when it is not working early.
“I think they’re like body blows in a boxing match,” LaFleur said.
The Packers add Kevin Zeitler, Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton

Green Bay signed Tomlinson to the active roster off the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad, added Becton to its own practice squad and placed offensive lineman Zach Bako-Bewele on injured reserve.

Tomlinson, a 12th-year guard out of Duke, went 28th overall to the Detroit Lions in 2015. He made the Pro Bowl with the San Francisco 49ers in 2021 and wears 72 in Green Bay.
Becton, a seventh-year player out of Louisville, went 11th overall to the New York Jets in 2020. He has started at guard and tackle and switched to 74 this week.
Zeitler signed a one-year deal Wednesday. The former Wisconsin Badgers guard is 36. He has made 213 starts for six teams since the Cincinnati Bengals took him 27th overall in 2012.
LaFleur explained why the Packers wanted veterans who have “been through war.”

Tampa Bay will start undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels. Baker Mayfield dislocated the thumb on his throwing hand late in a 23-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and is expected to miss at least three weeks.
Daniels played at Kansas. He will be the first undrafted rookie quarterback to start for the franchise.
He threw for 239 yards and a touchdown in the preseason. On the ground, he added 37 yards and another score.
Kickoff is set for noon CT Sunday at Raymond James Stadium, with the game on FOX.
