GWMC Chief Reviews Dharmasagar Water Supply

Warangal: The Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) commissioner T. Venkanna on Thursday reviewed drinking water supply arrangements for Warangal city during an inspection of the Dharmasagar Reservoir, the city’s main water source.

The commissioner examined current storage levels and assessed water treatment processes, quality monitoring systems and pumping operations.

He directed officials to ensure uninterrupted supply of safe drinking water and maintain quality standards. In view of the monsoon, he instructed regular water quality testing and timely purification measures.

Venkanna emphasised close monitoring of reservoir levels and the adoption of scientific water management practices to meet future demand. He also asked officials to conduct routine inspections of pumping stations, pipelines and related infrastructure to prevent supply disruptions and improve service delivery.

Following the review, the commissioner called for coordination among officials and vigilance in managing the city’s water supply network. Superintending engineer Raj Kumar, executive engineer Ravi Kumar, deputy executive engineer Raj Kumar, assistant engineer Hari Kumar and other officials were present.
