Gypsy Rose's 'Crashout' Video Over Daughter's Custody Raises New Questions After Ken Urker's Death

An old video involving Gypsy Rose Blanchard has resurfaced online following the sudden death of her fiancé, Ken Urker. The ex-convict, seemingly having a meltdown in the video, has drawn renewed attention because of the alleged circumstances surrounding the clip.

Blanchard can be heard screaming Urker’s name amid alleged custody tensions over their daughter, Aurora. With new family accounts coming forward, the resurfaced clip has raised eyebrows about the couple’s dynamic in the days leading up to Urker’s sudden passing.

Gypsy Rose yells fiancĂ©’s name and screams about ‘lies’ in a video allegedly sent to Ken Urker

The video, which began circulating again in October 2026, reportedly dates back to 2025. In the footage, Blanchard is seen kneeling over a red blanket that she made for Urker while cutting it repeatedly with a pair of large scissors. She appears emotional and can be heard yelling, “All it is is lies,” while screaming Urker’s name.

The recording reportedly first surfaced online in May 2026, months before Urker’s death. It has now been reposted by social media accounts discussing the couple’s relationship, with some posts connecting the footage to allegations of a custody dispute involving Aurora. However, the custody claims have not been independently confirmed.

The video has been recirculated alongside allegations that Blanchard and Urker experienced serious relationship problems before his death. One Instagram account that reposted the clip claimed that it originally appeared alongside an alleged message from Urker after he mentioned their daughter’s custody. Ken allegedly grew concerned about Aurora’s safety because he considered Blanchard unstable and unpredictable.

The same post claimed that both Blanchard and Urker acknowledged the recording was real, and that Blanchard had said she was drinking when she became angry and took her frustration out on the blanket. The video has been frequently paired with discussions about the tense custody discussions of Blanchard and Urker’s toddler, some of which were documented on the episodes of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup.

Ken Urker’s death brings new attention to the final days of his and Blancher’s relationship

Ken Urker was found dead on October 1, 2026, at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on his 34th birthday. According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE and other outlets, family members requested a welfare check after Urker failed to answer his phone or show up for work. His sister-in-law, Anita Blanchard, reportedly told authorities that he had been in a “dark place.”

Deputies found Urker dead in his bedroom. The report said syringes and a spoon were found near a brown powdery substance in the bathroom, while another syringe and a holstered handgun were found on his nightstand. There were no reported signs of a gunshot wound.

Authorities have also said Urker had expressed feelings of depression and being upset shortly before his death. An autopsy has been completed, but the cause of death remains pending toxicology results.

Blanchard previously told PEOPLE that she believed Urker may have died from an overdose, but said she did not know what he took or whether it was intentional. “I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” she said, adding, “He was not in a good state of mind lately.” The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

After Urker’s sister herself mentioned escalating tensions between the couple, discussion about a possible custody battle has escalated among the public. Their relationship was also documented on Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, where disagreements over Blanchard’s continued contact with her former husband, Ryan Anderson, became a source of tension.

On the show, Ken gave Gypsy ultimatums about her ex-husband, Ryan Anderson, threatening to seek custody if she met with him. Ryan also publicly claimed that Ken used custody as a controlling tactic. Gypsy, however, forcefully denied the CPS rumors at the time, saying that Aurora was safe and under her care.

More recent reporting also indicates that Blanchard and Urker had been spending time apart shortly before his death. TMZ reported that Urker had asked for some space while dealing with an alleged drinking problem, while sources maintained that the pair planned to move into a new apartment and had not ended their relationship.

Urker’s sister has disputed aspects of Blanchard’s public description of their relationship. However, Blanchard says Ken was her “soulmate,” and she wants Aurora to grow up knowing her father for who he was beyond online commentary.
