Half-Sisters, Janhvi And Khushi Pose With Soon-To-Be Jiju, Rohan, Bride, Anushla Wore Phulkari

Anshula Kapoor is all set to marry her dream man, Rohan. After he proposed to her in New York with a gorgeous diamond ring, the two are ready to hop on the marital journey. Their wedding celebration began with Mata ki Chowki, and Anshula recently shared photos from her special day. She also revealed the reason for wearing phulkari on the most auspicious day of her life.

On the most special day of her life, her entire family, including her sisters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, all stood with Anshula. The influencer shared glimpses of Mata Ki Chowki on Instagram. In one of the photos, Janhvi and Khushi were posing with Anshula and her groom-to-be, Rohan. For the celebration, Janhvi wore a gorgeous saree. On the other hand, Khushi chose to wear a sharara and looked gorgeous as ever.

Along with the photos, Anshula revealed that her wedding celebrations began with a Mata Ki Chowki, which was hosted by her groom, Rohan’s family. She added that she chose to wear a Phulkari dupatta, and as in Punjab, it is a deeply rooted tradition, and it is passed down through generations of women. She wrote:

“Our wedding celebrations began with a Mata Ki Chowki lovingly hosted by Rohan’s family. Wearing a Phulkari dupatta felt especially meaningful for the occasion. Deeply rooted in Punjabi tradition, it is a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and blessings passed down through generations of women. For Punjabi brides, Phulkari has long been part of life’s most meaningful milestones, and I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to begin this new chapter with Ro.”

On July 3, 2025, Anshula took to her Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures from her dreamy engagement. Her beau, Rohan Thakkar, proposed to her at a park in her favourite city, New York. Sharing her love story, Anshula revealed that they met on an app, and started talking randomly. Soon they clicked, and after three years of dating, Rohan proposed to her. She wrote:

“We met on an app. Started talking on a random Tuesday at 1.15AM. We spoke until 6am that morning. And somehow, even back then, it felt like the beginning of something that mattered. 3 years later, in my favourite city, in front of the castle in Central Park, he proposed! At exactly 1.15 AM India time!  And somehow the world paused just long enough for the moment to feel like magic. Just the quiet kind of love that feels like home. I’ve never been the girl who believed in fairytales.. but what @rohanthakkar1511 gave me that day was better. Because it was intentional. Thoughtful. Real. Us. I said yes.”

Anshula further explained that they have been together since 2022, and now, she is engaged to her best friend and her safe space. She concluded her note by writing:

“Through ugly tears, shaky laughs, and the kind of happiness I can’t put into words. Because since 2022, it’s always been you. I’m engaged to my best friend!!! My safe place. My person.  Fav boy, fav city… and now, my fav YES! (First meal after had to be shake shack because our first conversation was around the love of the shroom burger! IYKYK.”

For the special day, Anshula wore a gorgeous printed maxi dress. Her hair was tied in a bun, and she wore glasses. Her beau, Rohan, wore smart casuals. Another highlight of their engagement was the ring. Rohan chose a beautiful Toi Et Moi ring, which featured two pear-shaped diamonds. It means ‘You and Me’, and two pear-shaped diamonds set up in a way that it resembled two people madly in love.
