Harper Beckham was spotted making a failed attempt to reunite with her brother Brooklyn, with sources saying he has dismissed the gesture as another stunt from ‘brand Beckham’

Harper Beckham made the trip to her brother Brooklyn’s £14million marital home hoping for their first face to face interaction in over 18 months. But as heartbreaking pictures revealed yesterday, she was forced to make a lonely trip back to her car for a wasted journey when there was no answer at the door.

Instead, hopeful Harper opted to leave a hand-written letter for her estranged eldest brother to read when he returns to the Los Angeles mansion he shares with wife Nicola Peltz.

“It doesn’t take much to understand just how devastated Harper is that her big brother is no longer around,” a source around the Beckhams told the Daily Mail.

“Harper took the opportunity where she could. She’s a savvy young woman and she misses him, so she decided she would stop by and see if she could see him. Sadly for her, nobody was at home. She would give anything to have her brother back, to see him and be able to love him as she used to.”

However, it seems the gesture did not sit well with Brooklyn. Sources around the eldest child of the clan dismissed the impromptu visit as another stunt from ‘brand Beckham’ that he no longer wants to be a part of.

A spokesperson for Brooklyn told the Mirror: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”

Earlier in the day, the Beckhams had put on a united front at David’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. As soon as the event was over, still wearing her pink slip dress, Harper made the trip in an SUV driven by their chauffeur to try and see her brother knowing he was just five miles away.

Harper had the support of her parents’ in the move, who are reportedly keen not to come between Brooklyn and his other siblings in the hopes it might lead to them staying close while his issues lie deeply with them.

Victoria and David have accepted that Brooklyn will not speak to them now but they don’t want the rest of the family to become collateral damage.

However, as Harper went round to offer an olive branch, Brooklyn and Nicola were nowhere to be seen. After the photos of Harper emerged, Brooklyn broke cover on Instagram to reveal a photo of himself in New York. He and Nicola had decided to stay on the East Coast after Brooklyn spoke at the Tribeca festival last week.

Whether that decision was made to dodge his famous family remains to be seen.

It will be far from the Beckhams last trip to America this summer, with David expected at numerous World Cup games.

It’s also by no means the only attempt Brooklyn’s siblings have made to reach out to him. From Instagram posts and interviews, Cruz, Romeo and Harper have made it clear Brooklyn will be welcomed back when he is ready to be.

Hours before David’s Walk of Fame ceremony this week, Romeo, 23, was stopped by a photographer while walking down Melrose Avenue on Thursday to ask if Brooklyn would attend the star unveiling.

“I hope so. We love him. We love him,” the model repeated.

Earlier this year, after months of rumours Brooklyn announced he was separating from his famous family for good in an explosive six-page statement on Instagram.

He accused his parents of manipulating his life, trying to sabatoge his relationship with wife Nicola and damaging his mental health in their ambition to keep ‘brand Beckham’ churning.

He wrote: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.

“The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
