The Beckham family feud continues to rumble on with there appearing to be no slowing down after Brooklyn accused his parents of ‘using’ his sister Harper
Harper Beckham had been hoping to see brother Brooklyn during her stateside trip. But sadly for the 14-year-old her older sibling wasn’t at his LA home, leaving Harper quickly needing to leave.
Harper’s actions come as her 27-year-old brother continues to shun his family after a savage outburst towards mum and dad Victoria and David. But it appears the teen is keen to keep in contact with her estranged older brother – even if questions have been raised about her latest visit.
She had headed to Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham’s house shortly after her dad had been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s thought she had a handwritten letter she was planning to give Brooklyn.
But the visit appears to have reignited the family feud, with Brooklyn’s side hitting out at the motive behind her appearance. A representative from Brooklyn’s side told the Mirror: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”
And Brooklyn himself criticised the showing, saying his parents had used his sister as a pawn by having her photographed trying to visit his home. He quickly posted an Instagram Story of him running in New York to show he was nowhere near his home at the time.
But a source also told the Mail: “It doesn’t take much to understand just how devastated Harper is that her big brother is no longer around.
“Harper took the opportunity where she could. She’s a savvy young woman and she misses him, so she decided she would stop by and see if she could see him. Sadly for her, nobody was at home. She would give anything to have her brother back, to see him and be able to love him as she used to.”
David wanted nothing to do with the discussions surrounding his family feud. After he was asked for his thoughts on the headlines regarding the fallout, he quickly commented: “To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.’
It comes months after Brooklyn’s scathing Instagram statement. In it, after months of rumours, Brooklyn announced he was separating from his famous family for good in an explosive six-page release.
He wrote at the time: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.
“The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
