Harry Potter star Jessie Cave has earned more than her OnlyFans than she ever did from her acting career. The actress, 39, found fame when she was cast as Lavender Brown in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in 2009, the sixth blockbuster adaptation of JK Rowling’s magical book series.
Jessie went on to appear in the final two instalments of the series, and later became known for her regular roles in series such as Trollied, Black Mirror and Miss Scarlet and The Duke.
In Harry Potter, Jessie appeared alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson all three of whom became multi-millionaires after taking on the leading roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. But in recent years, Jessie, who is engaged to comedian Alfie Brown and has four children with him, was left increasingly worried when work dried up.
Jessie was reluctant to work in a supermarket in case fans recognised her, and was aware that she was not in a position to retrain for a different career so out of “complete desperation,” she turned to selling content on the adults-only site.
She told The Times : “I had a breakdown and I thought, that’s it with acting, I give up. But also we have no money. thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do. But it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives.”
Jessie charges her subscribers $6 a month to access her content, and revealed that she initially earned $15,000 in a single day from the platform before claiming that she has now in fact earned more from OnlyFans than she did in her entire career as an actress.
Jessie, who sometimes poses as her Harry Potter character on her page, quickly amassed 3,500 subscribers with her non-sexual niche content aimed at those with a hair fetish, with her first viral post displaying her waist-length locks as she posed in a polka-dot top.
The actress has also ruled out the idea of going completely nude on her OnlyFans page, but is aware that she “can’t afford to stop” creating lucrative posts.
Earlier this year, Jessie, who is currently performing at the Edinburgh Fringe, got engaged to her boyfriend, months after the couple secretly split up.
At the time, she told fans that Alfie popped the question as she flashed her engagement ring in a post that she released onto her social media pages.
She told fans: “12 years and 4 kids later …. It’s getting serious!!!” The pair first met in 2012 when they were both doing stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and two years later went on a date after a mutual friend set them up.
After going home together, they didn’t see each other again until four months later, when Jessie realised she was expecting Alfie’s child, Donnie, who arrived in October 2014, followed by their daughter two years later. In October 2020. They then had a second son and, in December 2021, announced they were expecting baby number four, who arrived in March 2022.
