Harry Styles is performing a historic 12-night residency at Wembley Stadium this summer, but he made one big mistake on stage recently that was caught on camera

Harry Styles reportedly revealed his “true colours” during one of his Wembley Stadium performances over the weekend, after making a significant blunder that was caught on film.

The Watermelon Sugar hitmaker, 32, is presently midway through a record-breaking 12-night residency at the iconic London venue, a run that surpasses the previous record of 10 concerts held by Coldplay last summer, and eight performed by Taylor Swift in 2024. However, during a weekend performance by the former One Direction member, fans spotted something “missing” from the show, as Harry made an error that offered a rare glimpse behind the scenes.

While Harry was delivering his chart-topping track As It Was, he was meant to dash down the entire length of the stage to a platform situated amongst the audience during the introduction, allowing him to perform for the fans assembled around it.

What error did Harry Styles commit at his Wembley Stadium concert?

In footage posted on TikTok, it emerged that Harry had managed to reach the platform without his microphone in hand – forcing him to sprint all the way back to the main stage area to retrieve it.

Harry’s band kept playing the track, which meant he missed his opening to begin singing by the time he’d collected his microphone. And fans were delighted to discover that the performer wasn’t relying on a backing track and was genuinely singing live, as the audience had to cover several lines that Harry missed before reclaiming his microphone.

A third posted: “Well, that’s one way to know that [he’s] actually singing.”

Why were fans worried about Harry Styles at Wembley stadium?

Other supporters made light of Harry’s fondness for running, noting that seemingly every clip from his Wembley residency shows him dashing about somewhere. They even created a play on his latest album title, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” by joking: “Run all the time. Sing, occasionally.”

Harry’s microphone mishap follows an incident at another Wembley performance last week that left fans “worried” about the star when he appeared to be choking on something during his set.

The performer was captured on film “dramatically collapsing” after taking a drink of water and spitting it out. He seemed to cough, as though something was lodged in his throat, before dropping to the ground and then standing up again, indicating he may have been choking.

While Harry seemed to bounce back swiftly and was quickly upright again, several supporters confessed they were “worried” about him, as they genuinely feared “something had happened to him”.

One viewer stated: “I actually had a heart attack while I was watching that live. I really thought something happened to him.”

Another remarked: “I was so worried, oh my gosh.”
