Harry Styles had his mind on other things before he performed last night (July 1) at Wembley Stadium, and fans were concerned that his heart wasn’t in it because of what they’d seen.
But they needn’t have worried, as the star’s passionate interlude didn’t take away from the amazing show he put on as part of his Together, Together tour, where he’s receiving support from the one and only Shania Twain. The tour comes after the release of his latest album, ‘Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally,’ but he’s also been performing other hits for fans, including One Direction tunes.
But in candid footage filmed before he was on stage, Harry Styles showed off what his true priority was last night, and it wasn’t performing for thousands of adoring fans.
Near an exit door, he was spotted wearing a lightweight white jumper, going crazy with his pals, and it was for a seriously amusing reason, as one woman pointed out on X.
She wrote: “HARRY CELEBRATING THAT ENGLAND WON LOOK HOW HAPPY, HE’S GONNA BE SO ANNOYING ABOUT IT DURING THE SHOW,” followed by three sobbing emojis.
Last night, England beat DR Congo in a tense game of World Cup football, where DR Congo scored within the seventh minute, meaning England fans were stressed out in pubs up and down the country.
However, Harry Kane managed to score an equaliser and then scored another to take England ahead of the opposition.
And it turns out that, much like the rest of England, Harry Styles was excited to see his country take the lead and ultimately win the game.
Harry could be seen punching the air excitedly, gobsmacked that England had actually managed to win, ahead of his performance.
He was likely pleased with the 5pm kick-off time for this game, so the match could be done and dusted before he had to go on stage.
He was beaming from ear to ear as fans screamed and waved at him from their seats as they waited for what may well be the most exciting concert of their lives.
The England football team are set to take on Mexico in the early hours of Monday (July 6) morning, sparking questions among friend groups about where they’re going to actually watch the match, as many pubs will remain closed.
In the X thread, people joked that when Harry celebrated with his pal, it looked like he’d “just accepted a marriage proposal,” he was that excited.
But, of course, Harry is actually engaged to be married to Zoe Kravitz, who has been spotted boogying in the pit with other concert-goers.
