For 5 years, Ajit Singh walked barefoot across Rajasthan with one promise to himself:
he wouldn’t wear sandals again until he planted 51,000 trees.
People mocked him for it. Even his family thought he was wasting his life. But Ajit kept going, planting trees across Rajasthan and struggling to keep them alive in extreme heat and water scarcity.
Even when money ran out, Ajit refused to stop. Once, his wife mortgaged her jewellery so the team could continue buying saplings.
What started with one plantation drive has today grown into Team Yatharth – a movement powered by 100+ volunteers that has planted over 1 lakh trees and built 10 oxygen parks helping turn barren land green again.
