Hyderabad: A welfare trust has donated 30 steel wheelchairs to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims), here on Saturday. The donation was made by Kavuri Kameshwari in memory of her husband Kavuri Venkaiah, a founder of the Help Needy trust. The trust had earlier donated wheelchairs and emergency beds to Nims. Hospital director Dr N. Bheerappa thanked the donors and appreciated the activities of the trust which had been involved in food donation and conducting blood donation camps since 2007. The Kavuri family visited the nephrology wards and asked department head Prof. T. Gangadhar about requirements of patients that the trust could meet.
