Ongole: Thousands of people took part in a grand Heritage Walk organised in Ongole on Sunday as part of celebrations marking 150 years of the Ongole Municipality.
The walk began at Mangamuru Road Junction at 7 am and culminated at Church Centre, with residents from different sections of the city joining the celebrations to commemorate its history, heritage, culture and development.
Ongole MLA Dammacharla Janardhan Rao, MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, SN Padu MLA B.N. Vijay Kumar, coalition party leaders and other public representatives participated in the walk.
The event turned into a colourful public celebration, with participants walking through the city and recalling Ongole’s 150-year journey. It was a major highlight of the year-long celebrations marking the historic milestone.
